I love coffee and have been dying to try this spot for ages! This looks like a cute house that got renovated into a coffee spot and has several rooms with seating and is more spacious than I would've imagined. I got the cafe miel (hot) which was delicious and the coffee tasted so good, the roast of the beans is just right (not too bitter or dark). The cafe miel was a little sweet but not overwhelmingly so. The pastries looked really good and are brought in from Canelle, I would definitely come back here for another coffee, the only reason I dock a star is because the hours of operation are so short / limited and I really wish the hours were open later and on more days of the week.

World class coffeehouse & roaster. They roast themselves, single origin! And pastries from one of the top new bakeries in Detroit. They make their own syrups, for those who have not yet advanced to drinking coffee on its own. UPDATE October 2023: The Ethiopian Sidomo is one of the best coffees I've ever had, and I buy from the best roasters in the country. I always keep a bag of Red Dot around the house! TWO SUGGESTIONS: 1. The pastries from Canelle's are fantastic, BUT for those who don't eat meat, we only get one savory option: plain croissant. I'd buy more if there was a cheesy option without the meat. 2. Offering Colombian and Brazil as the only pour-over options is not much of a choice as they are so similar and so bland. Would be nice to switch one for Ethiopian, Kenyan, Guatemalan, etc.

cutest space! i love that it's available to rent out for events. i am a coffee snob but i have to say the peanut butter chai (frozen) is so creative and delicious, add a shot of espresso if you want caffeine quick service and i love that they warm the pastries

I've been a patron at this coffee shop for several years. The Red Dot Coffee Company continues to be one of my favorite coffee shops in the Northville/Novi area. I try to stop by here when I can for some light reading or getting things done on my laptop. It's also a great spot to catch up with friends (smaller groups) at. The ambiance is cozy and chic. I especially love all the quotes by CS Lewis spread across one of the walls of the coffee shop. One of my all time favorite authors. The vibe is very welcoming and comfortable. Service is friendly. My favorite things to get are the classic cafe latte and cafe con miel (latte with honey and cinnamon). Will definitely continue to stop by here!

Not sure why it has taken so long to review this spot, so here are my humble thoughts. The place is way bigger than you'd think looking at it from the outside. A ton of seating options can be found inside with a couple quiet areas. The coffee menu is not huge but offers you some amazing options. The cafe miel is my go to, I've grown very fond of honey in my coffee in my old age. But one of my favorite guilty pleasures is the almond croissant here, especially because they'll toast it up for you right nice! I think it's from Cannelle, but wherever it's from it's outstanding. You must know if you consume one of these though, it's automatically a cheat day... but do it anyways!

What a cute place! Plenty of seating inside and outside. Decent amount of parking but you might have to find street parking during peak times. Not the biggest menu but the few beverages they have available they have it down to a science. The lattes are velvety and smooth - they look and taste amazing. $5.25 for a plain latte.

I've been coming to Red Dot since they opened. It's always been consistently amazing and super popular. One time I had something I didn't like (an espresso mojito type thing) and the barista happily made me another drink as a replacement. Due to its popularity, it sometimes may be difficulty to find a seat. During COVID, I bought a lot of their beans and that is also fantastic.

The best dirty chai latte exists here. I asked the barista how she drinks hers and she made hers half vanilla half mix and the result was the creamiest combination of chai heaven I've ever tasted. I don't know what's been happening with the chai lattes around me. But they have always been watered down and leaves a nasty aftertaste. But here? It restores the hope that change can happen. ;) The environment is perfect for a good conversation, puzzle making or getting some studying in. This is my favorite local stop in northville for coffee. It's not terribly overpriced, it's clean and modernly rustic. The service has always been fantastic and you just leave feeling better than when you walk in. A place like this? You gotta come back to.

Wow, I've been eyeing Red Dot for a couple years now but never got the opportunity to check it out until this past Monday afternoon. The building probably used to be someone's house, which was rebranded into a cozy and spacious coffee shop with lots of seating and space. It's pretty close to Northville Downtown (a few blocks north on Center Street), so you should definitely go out of your way for coffee if you're already there. I got the latte with honey and cinnamon (+oat milk) which ended up being closer to 7.00 after tax. It's a bit expensive, but definitely a delicious drink. It was a bit too sweet for me, so next time I'll try something else. I like that they have pretty unique drinks on their menu, including the 505 which is two espresso shots with 5g of honey shaken and then poured over ice. There's also affogato, espresso & tonic, and pour overs here, so definitely a large variety that will please coffee lovers of all sorts. I got a bag of Colombian beans here to bring back home, so hopefully they make a tasty pour over!
